Gone Camping!
I have never liked to camp. Yes, I love hiking, biking, boating and all that, but I've never been one to go wilderness camping in rural areas. I'm one of those gals who likes to "camp" from a hotel where there's sufficient facilities and air conditioning with nice sights to see nearby. But this weekend, I'm trying my hand at real camping! That's right...me, the girl who thought she'd never go camping without a hotel nearby, is going wilderness camping in Michigan's Upper Peninsula (pictured above is the Mackinac Bridge which I'll be crossing on my way up). While I'm up there, I'll be doing an all-day canoe trip, a 30 mile bike ride and a lot of other fun activities.
I won't have internet connection while I'm gone, so Hannah and Lindsey are going to be in charge. I'll be returning to the blogosphere sometime on Wednesday and perhaps I'll have a photo or two to share with all of you!
P.S - If Hannah doesn't get something up on the blog in reasonable time (I'm sure she will soon), be sure to check out some previous posts listed on the sidebar.

That sounds awsome.
Whats the day/night temps up there right now?
Don't capsize the canoe, because I imagine the water is really cold.
Have a wonderful time, Kristin! And I appreciate the confidence in me that you expressed in the "P.S." :P
Palm Boy-The night temps. have been in the low 60's...which is perfect weather, imho...
Hannah - you're very welcome!
Have fun Kristin! I enjoy camping... as long as there's a bathroom nearby! :-) My dad and siblings have gone backpacking, but it's never appealed to me.
Oooh! Macanack bridge. I've been on that!! Hope you enjoy yourself!

Camping? First you were playing golf and now this? lol - hope you have a splendid time. Glad it's you going not me.
ROFL @ Kaitlin. "Glad it's you going not me." That is exactly what I almost wrote when I first read the post. :-)
Hope you have a lovely time, Kristin!
Well thanks ladies for your lovely comments :P
we are going to be in a camper Kristin it is not even real camping
Um Ms. Abbi, does your camper have the name "Hilton" on the front? And does your pool have chlorine? If not, that IS real camping. And Ms. Abbi, I'd like my continental breakfast served promtly at 8:30am.
(See you tomorrow, bright and early!)
Camping! And Bike Riding! That sounds great! I have only been camping (in a tent) twice, but I wish I could go again.
Have fun!
