The Conferences: Summer 2009

Above all, Beauty from the Heart's full-day conferences are about the gospel. We're convinced that speaking about true womanhood is impossible without returning back to the all-transforming, all-consuming power of the cross. Why? Because-- at its very core-- biblical womanhood is simply the practical outworking of the gospel in our lives. As a result, every session-- whether we're discussing physical beauty, inner beauty, purity, or femininity-- is focused on a different aspect of the gospel's application, and each subject is approached in light of the cross of Christ.

You'll also find that the speakers at these conferences are a little too normal to be, well… conference speakers. We could easily be mistaken for members of the audience. In fact, we are the audience— two young women, speaking directly, transparently, and passionately about the issues they've faced themselves.

Ultimately, it's not our idea to touch other teenage girls with the gospel applied directly to their lives. It's God's, and it was His heart-cry long before Beauty from the Heart was even the spark of an idea.
